《水在自然界的循环》

—— 自然学科课堂中的双语教学案例

上《水在自然界的循环》这堂课时, 我用英语这样引入:  Do you know where rain comes from? Why doesn’t water in the river become dried up?   然后学生讨论回答后引出课题  Today, we will study how water cycles in the nature.

 

  新课开始,我首先把一些英语单词写在黑板上,带领学生读几遍之后,再用英语讲述一个科学童话——小水滴之旅 

     Now, please listen carefully. A drop of water is the sea mother’s daughter. She stays at home the whole day,  she feels silly.   So she decides to travel in the nature.  First she becomes steam and flies in the sky.  Then she meets cold and becomes water and lives in a cloud hotel in air. She meets a lot of members of water’s family there, such as water sister,  water uncle, water aunt and water brother. Then the members of water’s family become more and more so that the cloud hotel can’t hold up and the drop of water falls to the ground.   At last she flows into the river, then she comes back to the sea mother’s bosom.  

   这样既可以培养学生的英语听力,又可以使学生加深对水在自然界循环的理解。

 

  Then, I ask: Do you understand this story? Who can play the part of a drop of water in the story?

    接下来,学生们积极排演,又认真地表演了小水滴的旅行。有的学生能用英语来对话,He say: I’m a drop of water, I want to travel in the nature.

 

  最后,课堂总结如下

     Today, we have studied that water cycles in the nature. Sometimes water’s cycle is good for the mankind, but sometimes it is harmful for us.
