Teaching aims:

1.Let students know electricity comes from a battery or a factory(power plant).

2.Let students learn to make a simple battery.

 

Introduction :

There are some lamps in our classroom that give light. Why can they give light? Without electricity,what happens?

Electricity is very important in our life. Do you know where the electricity comes from?

 

New lesson

 

1. Learn about battery produce electricity.

(1) What is the shape of a battery?

(2) What needs batteries to work? (mobile phone, flashlight, toy)

(3) How does the electricity come from a battery?

I will give you a bulb, a wire and a battery. Who can make the bulb light up?

(let a student come to the front and try.)

(4) (Show a loudspeaker.) Who can make the loudspeaker give a sound with a battery? (let some students come to the front and try.)

(5) Sum up: There are two poles on a battery. One is the positive pole and the other is the negtive pole. When you connect the positive and negitive pole with a wire the electricity will go out and flow through the wire to the object needing the electricity.

So the bulb will give light and the loudspeaker will give sound.

 

2. Learn to make a simple battery.

We can make a simple battery by ourself. How can we make it?

Step1: Fill a beaker with vinegar.

Step2: Connect a wire to a sheet of copper and another wire to a sheet of zink.

Step3: Put the copper and zink sheets into the vinegar.

Step4: Connect the loose ends of the two wires to the loudspeaker.

When you have heard a sound from the loudspeaker you have succeeded in this experiment.

 

3. Let students know how the power plant produces electricity.

There are lamps ,TVs,frigs and air-conditioners in your home.They need electricity.Where does the electricity come from?

Show a model of an electric generator,and how it works.

Steam,moving water,wind and atomic energy can make electric generators work In an power plant.
In an power plant,the electricity is produced and is sent to factories ,families ,schools and so on.
Many places need electricity. So we must not waste electricity.

     This is the most interactive students-centered lesson of the three presented here. The teacher continuously askes the students questions and has them demonstrate how to use a battery rather than just telling them how it is done. This type of teaching involves the students in the learning process and is much more interesting than just sitting and listening to the teacher talk and talk.
     But like the previous lessons a list of key vocabulary would help the students focus on tose words and remember them more easily as they hear them throughout the class.
      Very well done.

 

译文大意:这是这三个教学案例(这里列出的前三篇教案)中最为强调相互作用,以学生为中心的一个精彩案例。教师不断地在对学生进行提问并且没有单向告知学生如何使用电池而是鼓励学生自己动手演示。这样的教学方式不仅让学生参与进来,不断地吸取新的知识,更增添了课堂教学的趣味性。

但是如同前一个案例,如果能够准备一些的关键词将会对强化教学效果有很大的帮助。
